The new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 in-ear headphones raise the bar and offer a competitive price for the latest generation technical data sheet.
With the official presentation of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 earphones, Oppo’s Chinese sister company significantly raises the bar compared to the previous model. The technical sheet offers the latest generation solutions, such as spatial audio and Dynaudio tuning. All with an attractive list price, at least on the Chinese market. We will see when these headphones arrive in Italy and in which price range they will be positioned.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 in-ear headphones weigh 4.9 grams, perfectly in the average category. They have two dynamic drivers: the first 11 mm and the second 6 mm, both created and developed in collaboration with the Danish company Dynaudio.
These new earphones have active noise cancellation (ANC), which is based on three microphones for each earphone and reaches a reduction of up to 48 dB (a very high value); they are Hi-Res Audio certified, they are compatible with the LHDC 5.0 audio and 360-degree spatial audio. During game sessions, activating the low latency mode (54 milliseconds) is possible to improve the synchronization between sound and image.
Low latency is also allowed by the Bluetooth 5.3 connection, which also allows you to connect two playback devices to the same headphones and switch from the first to the second very quickly (and automatically if a call comes in).
The individual earbud battery has a capacity of 60mAh, while the case battery has a capacity of 520mAh. Full cable charging takes 100 minutes, and the earphones have a battery life of 6 hours with ANC on and 9 hours with ANC off. In this case, the autonomy increases to 25 hours (with ANC) to reach 39 hours without.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 resists dust and water quite well, and for this reason, they are IP55 certified, while the case is IPX4 certified; that is, it resists water splashes from various directions.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 in-ear headphones are on presale in China, and the sale will start on January 9th. They will arrive on global markets (including Italy) from February 7th. The price in China is 899 yuan, equal to about 123 euros. They will cost a little more in Italy due to logistics costs and taxation.
